Hope Mississippi

Michelle D. Easterling currently serves as Circuit Judge, Place 3, for Mississippi’s 16th Circuit Court (Clay, Lowndes, Noxubee, and Oktibbeha counties), a position she won in 2022. 

Before her election to the bench, she served as the Clay County Prosecuting Attorney and Municpal Prosecutor for the City of West Point, while maintaining a general civil practice in all state and federal courts of Mississippi, including the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.  

Judge Easterling currently serves on the State's Bar Complaint Tribunal and the Bench - Bar Liaison Committee, and is a Fellow of the Mississippi Bar Foundation. She is an active member of the Episcopal Church of the Incarnation and the West Point Rotary Club. 

She holds a J.D. from the University of Mississippi and a B.A. from Millsaps College.
