Dean Fred Slabach
Fred G. Slabach is the current Dean and Professor of Law at the University of Mississippi School of Law, appointed in July 2023.
An Ole Miss Law alum with a distinguished academic record, he earned his LL.M from Columbia University and previously served as President of Texas Wesleyan University. Before that, he held roles including Legislative Counsel to the President Pro Tempore of the U.S. Senate, Assistant Secretary for Congressional Relations at USDA, and Executive Secretary of the Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation.
Dean Slabach’s scholarship focuses include Constitutional Law, Campaign Finance, and Legal Ethics, and he’s known for building leaders through both rigorous education and real-world engagement.
